Anti-Static Additive

Plastics are naturally insulative and can’t disperse static charge on their own. Friction or contact with other surfaces causes electrons to build up, which can create fire/explosion risks, damage electronics, or make parts stick to molds and each other.

Anti-static additive helps dissipate this charge while also improving lubrication and mold release. It comes in two types — external (surface-applied) and internal (blended into the resin) — and is widely used in electronics, chargers, and power sockets.
