Dessicant Masterbatch
Desiccant Masterbatch
Moisture is present in all polymers and can cause fisheye and surface defects in finished products, especially with technical resins. Desiccant masterbatch is added to the formula to absorb moisture from raw materials, reducing common processing issues (bubbles, fisheyes) and improving final product quality.
The main active ingredient is Calcium Oxide (CaO), a strong moisture absorber. It disperses well during processing, removes moisture, and prevents fisheye defects — effective in extrusion (blown film, cast film, blow molding) and injection molding. For recycled plastics, it also helps reduce moisture and limit oxidation during reprocessing.
